Yesterday, I was riding the train & heard 3 boys exchange fight stories, swear loudly, and call themselves the “N” word loudly. Near the end of their ride 1 of them recognized me from a program & said, “Hey, I remember you…you have a job connection for me?” I gave him my card & said, “Your embarrassing mouth doesn’t pe...rmit me to connect you to anything…change that and I might.” Watch your words or someone else will.Read More

Kudos Ryan! Some Youth today have no respect, few morals, and no sense of right and wrong. Many are so disconnected from reality that it is downright scary.

Question: How much of our tax dollars go to paying the healthcare premiums of our civil servants?

My thought is even if conservatives and conservative supporters successfully block passage of the Health Bill in the Senate, if our tax dollars contribute to our civil servants' healthcare, at the end of the day they will ...still maintain quality healthcare coverage (thanks to the tax payer). Thanks (in advance) for your response.Read More

Today I am making a change! And I am declaring that I will lose 15 pounds by February. Yes, I am making this change BEFORE the holiday season! :( Sorry ma, when I come home, only ONE plate and not the record breaking four of that home cooking! Only one plate of the mac and cheese, collard greens, fried chicken, sweet y...ams, smothered turkey....need to stop before I cry!

MY CONFESSION: I am strong when it comes to #s, but weak when it comes to food! I sometimes sneak (don’t tell my fiancée) to Amy Ruth’s for some mac’n cheese, collard greens, short ribs, & candied yams…AND I slack from the gym. I can do better, & I as travel & see the high levels of obesity/diabetes…WE CAN DO BETTER! O...n TODAY, I commit to eating healthier & hitting the gym at least 3x per week…who is with me!?Read More

Ryan Mack MOVE UP MONDAYS: Calling all business owners… feel free today to post your link my wall to advertise your business. To all my friends…take a second throughout the day and see if any of the products or services are worthy of your support. Small businesses employ 70% of all of our labor market and THEY NEED YOUR SUPPORT TO SURVIVE. Constructive criticism is support too so don’t hold back if you think it can help!

How many times do I have to say I TOLD YOU SO! You can't stop this train from moving and health care reform is too important! As much as the GOP would like to say that this bill is too expensive...IT IS PAID FOR! As much as the GOP says that they wouldn't want Government run health care...YOU DON'T HAVE TO CHOOSE THE P......UBLIC OPTION! The people have spoken and the house has answered...keep it up because democracy is working!http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/11/07/house-health-care-vote-br_n_349468.htmlRead More

Exactly. My friend has prostrate cancer, and so far, it has cost him $25,000 WITH INSURANCE. People who don't have that kind of money are left to die! And thank you, Ryan. (blush.)

I understand Claudia, the costs of insurance is too high. What I can't understand is why we cannot buy insurance from all 1300 insurance companies in the country. This would help to lower premiums. Also alow insurance to be tax deductable and move for tort reform. My doctor has raised his price as well as my wife because of the cost of malpractice ... Read Moreinsurance. They are paying over 6 figures a year for their private practice. If government tells them what they can charge yet not work on lowering their costs fot their mal practice in surance then they will not be able to continue their private practice. I have been with my doctor for over 20 yrs. I dont want anyone to misunderstand but I do not trust the government because they have huge deficits on theit hands and will do what they feel period. And also Claudia the Bus system and school system are in disaray because of government . Government is always wasteful. And why will it start in 2013 yet we will be charged for it earlier.

SUNDAY TIP: A man wakes up & has faith that his car will start, those 100s of people on the other side of the road won’t crossover & crash into him & his chair at his office desk will support him. Why would he question faith in God? Bill Maher asks, “How do you know faith works?” I ask, “How do you know it doesn’t work...?” The testimonies that my own eyes & spirit have given me is all I need to know that FAITH WORKS!Read More

Ryan Mack So the GOP comes up with their own plan for health care reform. According to the CBO a non-partisan organization is costs MORE than the Democratic plan, it covers LESS than the Democratic plan, and does not eliminate discrimination against pre-exisiting conditions! Then they tout the size of the bill as too large as if reading and intelligence are the new sins of Washington. SMH

Have any of you read the current bill. It covers abortion ,hits small businesses with mandated fines. Doctors will have price controls which will cause alot of them to retire. The bill does not cover tort reform which drives up costs for both businesses and doctors. Politicians do not want tort reform because that are a trial attorney's bread and butter. The negatives far outweigh the positives and the impact of it will be felt widespread.

One: The new bill does not cover abortion.

"In the run-up to a final vote, conservatives from the two political parties joined forces to impose tough new restrictions on abortion coverage in insurance policies to be sold to many individuals and small groups. They prevailed on a roll call of 240-194."... Read More

Two: Tort reform according to the CBO will only amount to less than one half of 1% of costs.

Ryan Mack FEEL GOOD FRIDAYS: I remember 5 years ago when I was starting Optimum and my savings ran out. My lights were turned off but my faith made me get candles. My heat was cut off but my faith made me get an extra blanket. I got my first $300 check on August 28, 2005 and haven’t looked back since. I know hunger, but hunger brings creativity. The grass doesn’t grown on the mountain top but in the valley! Make it work!
