As you all know this weekend is SHPE ALUMNI WEEKEND!!!
We are welcoming back some awesome people to campus and are inviting all of you to participate in events with the alumni!
Due to the fact that the Illini football team rocks, tickets are sold out. We will therefore watch the game at a bar called Jupiter's, that has ...pizza and pool! It is on Main St, only a two minute walk from the Illinois Terminal, so you can take any bus that goes to downtown Champaign and get off at the Terminal.
After we win the game, we're going to go paintballing! Dress warmly and in clothes you don't mind getting painted. For $10 you'll get the gun, mask, and 200 paintballs.
Sunday morning we have a brunch planned. **The group size is limited, so email Mike Hernandez at mherna48@illinois.edu if you would like to go.

Come find out more about Lego League!
This is a program where you can work with Booker T. Washington Elementary School kids teaching them to build robots every Tuesday from 3:15 - 5:00pm!
The FIRST Lego League (also known by the acronym FLL) is an international competition for elementary and middle school students (ages ...9-14 in the USA and Canada, 9-16 elsewhere). It is arranged by the FIRST organization (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology).
Each year the contest focuses on a different real-world topic related to the sciences. Each challenge within the competition then revolves around that theme. The robotics part of the competition revolves around designing and programming Lego robots to complete many tasks.
The students work out solutions to the various problems they are given and then meet for regional tournaments to share their knowledge, compare ideas, and display their robots.
Have fun building robots with elementary school kids!
