Founded in 1970, the Foundation helps people with lupus, as well as their families and friends, cope with the anxieties and frustrations that often accompany daily living with a chronic illness.

The Foundation funds lupus research grants and fellowships for new investigators in the New York area, and is a primary supporter of new science in lupus in partnership with the national nonprofit organization, the Lupus Research Institute (LRI).
