ON 5TH DECEMBER 2009, IN COLLABORATION WITH PPB HARTABINA SDN.BHD., SPCA LAUNCHED A 'GIFT OF A HOME' EVENT AT THE NEW WORLD PARK . THE EVENT WAS ALSO SUPPORTED BY PAA MEMBER'S WHO GAVE A DOG DEMOSTRATION ON OBEDIENCE TRAINING. THE DOGS SHOWED OFF THEIR SKILLS AT 7 P.M.
IN CONJUCTION WITH THE CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR CELE...BRATION, THE 10 FEET TALL DECORATED CHRISTMAS TREE SURROUNDED BY PICTURES OF OUR ANIMALS WAITING FOR ADOPTION WAS LIT UP AT 7.45 P.M.
IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A PET TO ADOPT, PLEASE HEAD ON TO THE NEW WORLD PARK AND CHECK OUT THE PICTURE ON THE CHRISTMAS TREE OR VISIT US AT THE SHELTER.

WE WERE THERE ON 24TH OCT 2009.SPCA HAD THE WHOLE STAGE FOR THAT DAY.TWO EVENTS WERE ORGANIZED-A DOG OBEDIENCE DEMO BY PAA PRESIDENT AND HER DOG A CURLY COATED GOLDEN RETRIEVER 'COFFEE' AND OFF COURSE 3 SPCA STARS (TESSA,CHARON,AND NELLY) UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF VOLUNTEER/COMMITTEE MEMBER MS.DONNA CHEE.CHECK IT OUT.............................
OUR SECOND EVENT WAS A DRAWING COMPETITION FOR KIDS OF AGES 6-12 YEARS.CATEGORY 'A' WAS FOR KIDS OF AGES 6-9 YEARS AND FOR CATEGORY 'B' AGES 10-12 YEARS.THE FIRST 3 PRIZES FROM EACH CATEGORY CONTAINED CASH AND GIFTS FROM SPCA.
THE KIDS WERE REALLY PROFESSIONALS IN THEIR OWN WAY,SERIOUS AND ALL CAME WITH THEIR OWN TABLES,CHAIRS AND ART MATERIALS.
YOU COULD NOTICE THAT THEY WERE STRESSED OUT MAYBE BECAUSE OF PRESSURE BY THEIR PARENTS.RELAX WAS WHAT THEY WERE TOLD AS THIS WAS ONLY A FUN DRAWING COMPETITION TO SHOW THEIR LOVE FOR ANIMALS ALONG WITH THE THEME 'MY SWEET MOMENTS WITH MY PET'

Sunday OCT 4TH-SPCA Penang celebrated World Animal Day with an SPCA open day.This gave the public an opportunity to visit the cattery and kennels on Sunday which was normally a day where it is closed to the public.One of our cat 'Tuti' was ...adopted and three of our dogs were booked on that day.Approximately over 100 ...members of the public visited us.Besides our caring for animals,a
Health Scan check for visitors by Pharmamex was also arranged.SPCA benefitted RM5 for every health scan check and body analysis
consultation.A jumble sale and lots of SPCA merchandise were on sale too.Thanks to all who made the effort to contribute in (cash,pet food and recyclable item) on that day.SPCA values your support~
