MOONSPELL Frontman Featured In New SPV Podcast - July 30, 2008
The eighth episode of the SPV audio podcast hosted by Freeman features an interview with MOONSPELL frontman Fernando Ribiero. Fernando speaks at length about MOONSPELL's new album, "Night Eternal", playing the European summer festivals, working with ex-THE GATHERING singer Anneke van Giersbergen and the upcoming "Blackest of the Black Tour" featuring MOONSPELL, DANZIG, DIMMU BORGIR, WINDS OF PLAGUE and SKELETONWITCH. Two songs from "Night Eternal" are featured as well.
"Night Eternal" sold around 800 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
As previously reported, the CD entered the national chart in Portugal at No. 3 and in Germany at No. 62.
The follow-up to 2006's "Memorial" was recorded at Antfarm studios in Denmark with producer Tue Madsen (THE HAUNTED, DARK TRANQUILLITY, HALFORD).

The seventh episode of the SPV Audio Podcast hosted by Freeman features music and news about ENGEL — the Gothenburg, Sweden-based quintet featuring guitarists Marcus Sunesson (ex-THE CROWN) and Niclas Engelin (PASSENGER, ex-GARDENIAN, IN FLAMES), drummer Mojjo (RELEVANT FEW, DRACENA), vocalist Mangan Klavborn, and bassist Michael Håkansson (ex-EVERGREY) — as well as an interview with the group's guitarist Marcus Sunesson. Marcus talks about the recording and touring cycle for ENGEL's debut album, "Absolute Design", work on ENGEL's next CD and the Gothenburg scene.

ENGEL's debut album, "Absolute Design", received its long-awaited U.S. release on May 20 via SPV/Steamhammer.
IN FLAMES frontman Anders Fridén helped his old friend Niclas (they both played together in PASSENGER) record demos and assisted in the production of the "Absolute Design" CD at Dug-Out Studios.
