I'm ex-serviceman (Army) Unfortunately I was medically discharged due
to serious illness. I have just, tried to apply for some financial help
from SSAFFA, but all I was told is: "I'm sorry, we don't have any
representation, in Denmark."
My wife and I are struggling to make ends meet, as I'm dependant on the
exchange rate to... the £. At present I'm missing out on the equivalent to
approx £500 due to the exchange-rate. This means that I only just have
enough money to pay my part of our mortgage. My wife was self-employed
untill the financial crisis kicked in, but the times changed, and her
busisness lost a lot of customers, as they also were forced to cut back.
I've contacted SSAFFA several times, always getting the same reply. I
was told they would contact the British Embassy in Copenhagen, but
nothing has come of that
If anyone knows of a way I can get some kind of help, I'd appreciate to hear from you.
Kind regards
