Are we living fully?
To live fully in Hawaiian terms mean to connect completely with the world, not use it or pass though it in search of personal wisdom. It means to recognize yourself as a part of the earth, and to be responsible, respectful and appreciative of all its species, plants, and animals, rainbows and hurric...anes. It doen't mean just enjoying nature but being of nature. To the Hawaiians, living fully is learning, marvelling at, and celebrating our closeness to nature's power. Aloha nui to all!

“ To live a single day and hear a good teaching is better than to live a hundred years without knowing such teaching” Buddha.
Today we want to transport you back in time 900 hundred years ago, we want to share the beauty of a sacred temple, the magnificent temple of equality- not to discriminate” and its home to Amida, ...a golden Buddha unique to the entire world. It was built entirely without the use of nails, the temple was built to represent the mythic phoenix arising from the ashes to reflect the promises of hope and renewal.
The Buddha is thought to be the largest figure carved since ancient times. Towering more then 18 feet,
The Hall is known as Hoo-do, or the phoenix Hall, because a pair of the legendary birds of good Omen and of Chinese origin is seen perched on both ends of the roof with their wind spread and ready to fly away. The hall containing two winds reflects stability as well as artistic beauty
The bell house. Called kanetsu-ki-do, contains a five foot high, three ton brass bell, called bon-sho (sacred bell), It is revered for its distinctive shape, and the tone of the bell sounds a message of deep calm and peace, cleansing the mind. The resonant sound of the bon-sho creates an atmosphere of tranquility for meditation. A soft wooden log called the ”shu-moku” is used to strike the bell. The bell is customary rung before one enters the temple to spread eternal teachings of Buddha.
We hope you enjoy the breathtaking view and are inspired by the beauty and peace of this sacred space.
