Hi Everyone
Well tomorrow is the beginning of Week Four of the month long program. The final week of Safe Work Month 2008 takes place in metropolitan Adelaide and will be opened by the Hon Paul Caica MP on Monday 3 November at the Hilton Adelaide.
There are many many many workshops being held all of the city, too many to... mention!! For more information about what's on offer in metropolitan Adelaide in week four, view the Week 4 Programme of Events at www.safework.sa.gov.au

Well we are already up to Week Three in the program, and what a full week it is going to be!!
We start off the week with the Official Launch of the South-East Week tomorrow morning. The launch will be held at Bunnings' Warehouse in Mount Gambier with a free community breakfast and will start at about 8am.
Wee...k Three will take us all over the South-East with workshops to be held in Mount Gambier, Kongorong, Willalooka and the Coonawarra.
Some of the week’s highlights include:
• Working towards safe communities

• Preventing ATV injuries
• OHS in shearing
• Winery walk and talk
• Dairy walk and talk…

Well Week two is over, and what a wonderful week it was. The official Launch of the North-East Week took place at JHI Builders, and everyone though that the Breakfast put on by Tafe SA was fabulous!
Week Two was certainly very busy with talks in Port Pirie, Clare, Tanunda, Nuriootpa, Berri, Kingston-on-Murray and Renmar...k. Again we had higher numbers than expected, and people remarked how wonderful it was to have so many workshops in their area.

Safe Work Month 2008
Week One was an overwhelming success! We had a wonderful start with a beautiful sunny day for the Port Lincoln Launch. We heard from guest speakers, Executive Director of SafeWork SA Michele Patterson, who Spoke on behalf on Minister for Industrial Relations the Hon Paul Caica, Advisory Committee Chairperson Tom Philli...ps, and the Hon Liz Penfold, Member for Flinders. The Port Lincoln Bowls club did a wonderful job catering and ensured no-one went hungry.
We were lucky enough to have the Whyalla Launch in Bob’s Home Hardware, where the staff went out of there way to make the launch extra special. We heard from SafeWork Sa’s Joe Paparella, Advisory Committee Chairperson Tom Phillips and Whyalla Mayor Jim Pollock. A big thank you to Advancing Whyalla for their wonderful breakfast.
All the workshops in Port Lincoln, Whyalla and Roxby Downs were very well attended, with organizers having to arrange extra chairs for all the walk-ins! Read More
