Citizens of Sag Harbor will read the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights, and "We the People" will read the Preamble to the Constitution. Patriotic music will be sung and played. This celebration of our nation's freedom will take place in the historic First Presbyterian Church of Sag Harbor, established ...in 1766. The present building (1844) is a National Historic Landmark and stands adjacent to the Old Burying Ground, in which there are a number of Revolutionary War graves. All are welcome to join this celebration of our country's birth.
