Sailfish Bay We are pumped up to welcome back ace fly fishing photographer/writer Walter Hodges to SBL in Jan 2010. Sailfish Bay will be the feature story in his new online mag called "UpStream." The pic to the left is a classic Walter photo. He will also be visiting Antigua, Tikal, and Lake Atitlan for a very well-rounded feat...ure. Attached are some of his photos. Sailfish Bay So far in November our boats are averaging 30 raises per day per boat and 19 sailfish releases per day per boat. Plus dorado every day and several tuna have showed up. Lights out!

Sailfish Bay Kicked off the season this past weekend. Highlights - 8 anglers, 2 days of fishing raised 32 sailfish, released 21, 4 Dorado 30 lb+ a few yellowfin tuna and an hour long fight with a big blue marlin that got the best of us. Not a bad start.

Sailfish Bay Although the Lodge is closed in the Summer we have been doing several Day Charters for clients on business trips and locals. Been averaging 6 to 12 sailfish releases per day per boat. Dorado fishing has been excellent as well. Guatemala really does not have an "off" season so to say. Strong, productive fishing all year long.

Sailfish Bay Video of one of our more psychotic clients (Jeff Morrow) from a few years ago. Hooked up a sail on fly from the back of our boat then jumped in a kayak to land it. Pulled him all over the Pacific Ocean. Some great jumps right next to the kayak on the video. Hilarious. Made every news outlet from the East to West Coast.
