Saint Francis Athletics Red Flash Women's Basketball fell to the Delaware Blue Hens 77-64 on Tuesday night in their home opener at DeGol Arena. Samantha Leach shot 50 percent from the field and led the team in scoring with 16 points.

Saint Francis Athletics A young SFU men's basketball team battled Big East Preseason Player-of-the-Year Luke Harangody and Notre Dame, but the Fighting Irish pulled away in the closing minutes for a 95-72 victory. Four players led the Red Flash in double digit scoring. Saint Francis will look to get back on the winning track when it plays host to Lafayette at 7 p.m. Thursday, at DeGol Arena.

Saint Francis Athletics The Red Flash men's basketball team shook off some early jitters to hand two-time defending Patriot League Champion American a 65-61 defeat in both teams' season openers on Friday night at DeGol Arena. Senior Devin Sweetney had a game-high 21 points and 8 rebounds, and freshman Will Felder added 17 points and five rebounds.
