Professor Magee has provided a lot of support to students over the years and I think we should support her.

When did it occur that we must be perfect humans to be qualified to teach or lead. We are not all gifted in all areas of our lives but sometimes just in one, like Magee is as a professor and mentor. Allow her to be human whether guilty ... See Moreor not and judge her holistically instead of based on one aspect of who she is. Part of this holistic approach should be to weigh this issue against her lifelong commitment to teaching, Hamline, and students. There are times where a persons actions can be so egregious that they can overshadow all other contributions, abuse of others for example, but tax issues should not be one of them. Good luck in your decision making process.
