I remember the good old days at Highland and Longfellow Grills. In 2006 they switched from soybean trans-fat oil to canola oil. It was deep-fried french fry and green bean palooza for us several times each year.
Then in 2008 something changed. I ate there 2-3 times over several months and went home sick every time. Only... later did I learn they switched from healthy canola oil to cheap soybean oil again. I'm sure the new oil is trans-fat free because these folks care. Too bad they returned to an oil that is also a serious allergen.
