Lenny's Surf Shop Well your guess might be as good as ours, Super strong offshores with a very close swell source in the Gulf of Mexico, for all we know this only also requires a blue moon by the sea in Kentucky to produce surf. Lenny's Surf Shop Did everyone get some waves? We saw some small choppy waves Saturday afternoon, and some super clean small waves Sunday morning. Sorry to all that the Pass-A-Grill cam is down. We are in the process of replacing, so be patient until we can get it replaced.
Lenny's Surf Shop Highs on Friday to range from the mid 70's north to mid 80's south, while only reaching the 70's to near 80 on Saturday, and dare I say upper 60's to mid 70's on Sunday. Courtesy of our on staff meterologist Adam Stach
Lenny's Surf Shop Winds will quickly transition out of the north-northwest through the night on Friday and into Saturday although remain in the 10-15 mph range overnight before increasing back to 10-20 mph through the day. Unfortunately good things always come to an end on Saturday night into Sunday as winds turn more north-northeasterly to northeast at 8-15 mph.
Lenny's Surf Shop Thursday night out of the west-southwest sustained at 10-15 with gusts to 20 mph. Winds will become westerly at 15-20mph on Friday with gusts to 25 mph possible from the morning and into the afternoon as the front is expected to move through at this time with showers and thunderstorms accompanying it. Some gusts could kiss 30 mph during the daytime but mainly just in the shower and thunderstorm activity.
Lenny's Surf Shop Looks like the calm waters are getting a little antsy with a weak trough moving over the area on Thursday and then the main show on Friday into Saturday as the first major front has your area in its sight. Expecting the winds to become westerly on Thursday although gusts will remain in the 10-15 mph range through the daytime. Winds begin to ramp up
