Spencer S. Eccles Health Sciences Library is spotlighting the "Transition from Hospital to Nursing Home" project, which includes a video and discussion materials. For many people the transition from hospital to nursing home life is associated with anxiety, threat to quality of life, and loss of independence. This goal of this program is to encourage health car...e providers to become more involved in preparing older adult patients for nursing home admission, and in helping them adjust to this new setting.

Thanks for writing back. Yes, I am a graduate student in the college of Nursing, (specifically, Gerontology). I appreciate you writing me back. Jeanne LeBar was terrific, as our class guest lecturer. I have found the few librarians that I have worked with, to be great. I will definitely take you up on your services.
Thanks again. Lori Madsen

Spencer S. Eccles Health Sciences Library staff participated in this past weekend's "Be Well Utah Health Fair" on the University of Utah campus. Sally Patrick, Alice Weber, Jeanne Le Ber, Jean Shipman and Suzanne Stensaas helped staff our booth on "Intellectual Health." According to Sally, "The Be Well Utah Health Fair on campus was a big success. I was there ...all day and I'd say we directed at least 500 people to reliable health information!"
