What a great singer your Grandfather was.

Hi everyone: i read the book when it firts came out and it was good but i do know one thing Bobby Womack tp me is a good singer with a lot of classic hits but what he did with Barbara after Sam passed away was lowdown and dirty the same way Cecil Womack married Sams Daughter Linda.and i thought that when Jermiane Jackson married his Brother Rand's ex wife was bad.

it was a pretty ok rendition i must say...though no one does it like sam, and i think taylor hicks did it better [that was the first song he sang on idol...that's when i knew he was going to win]

My view of Bobby Womack has changed over the years (as I've learned more about his ties to Sam). I used to view him and Barabra as the "villian" in the Sam story. Now, I think that Bobby was a victim as well (sort of).

His place in music history is well deserved.

Ryan, alot of artists were naive victims of record companies which were about 1% removed from loan sharks. These scum balls persisted for a very long time. They're not worthy
of any respect for their so called "discoveries". Artists are finally in the drivers seat. Remember who's working for whom...

oh by the way if you don't have the book DREAM BOOGIE the bigraphy on Sam Cooke i suggest you get it it's a long book but it's worth reading.
