Palo Alto College was founded March 19, 1983. Classes began in September 1985 with an attendance of 231 students dispersed in high schools and military installations.

Here's an interesting article from the San Antonio Express-News on Laredo losing its major bookstore. The article also addresses the soon to be closed bookstore in San Antonio's South Park Mall.

Barnes & Noble announced last month plans to close all 50 of its remaining B. Dalton stores, which will leave Laredo, a city of nearly 200,000, without a general-interest bookstore. The nearest will be some 90 miles away.
Palo Alto College SpawGlass will be working on the storm drain across the road near the Science & Workforce building on Monday, Nov. 23. Their plan is to close one lane at a time and place steel plates once complete. The actual storm drain work and backfilling will be completed over the holiday break.
