Hopefully fine! Ms. Rosas-Tatum and I were servers during the Staff Council Thanksgiving Dinner event for the campus facilities department last Friday evening. I was serving gravy and she was one person down serving cranberries and something with marshmellows in it.

If you can't find leaders in the community, would you settle for leaders in the workplace?

I attended PAC in 96-97 and now work as an Assistant Principal in a local school. I've also come back and now teach at PAC. I'm not sure if I am what you are looking for, but I would be willing to help.

Palo Alto College Here's an interesting article from the San Antonio Express-News on Laredo losing its major bookstore. The article also addresses the soon to be closed bookstore in San Antonio's South Park Mall.

www.mysanantonio.com
Barnes & Noble announced last month plans to close all 50 of its remaining B. Dalton stores, which will leave Laredo, a city of nearly 200,000, without a general-interest bookstore. The nearest will be some 90 miles away.

Business is business. A company must make money to pay employees, satisfy shareholders, and keep creditors at bay. Anyone is free to start their own outfit, and if the people of Laredo really want to purchase books the old-fashioned way, surely someone could make the leap and start a book store. The same goes for South Park Mall in SA. Still, this is a terribly sad turn of events.

The people of laredo are more than likely similar to the people here on the southside. They go in to the store, browse, and then leave. I went to Southpark Mall just for the bookstore and I saw the majority of the customers walk in and then leave. Business is surely business but in this business the demand just isn't cutting it!
