This recession isn’t to be taken lightly. But even though the airline industry is evolving, demand for air travel will rebound and increase. When it does, we will need the infrastructure in place to meet that future demand.

Daniel del Rosario

Daniel del Rosario
Hello. My name is Daniel del Rosario. On 11/1/2009 at approximately 9:45pm I went through airport security. In doing so, something of extreme value to me was confiscated. For a couple days now I have been trying to get in touch with the airport, but to no avail. If someone from the great city of San Diego (an airpo...rt employee preferably) could find it in their hearts to help me find this item. It is a large RED SWISS ARMY KNIFE, with my mother's name "CECILIA" engraved on it and an engraving of a fish underneath it. The pocket knife is pretty much a family heirloom and has been passed down my family from generation to generation. This item means everything to me. I live in North Carolina, otherwise I would go back to the airport myself. Someone, Anyone please help me. Thank you.Read More

Daniel: You may be aware that the TSA prohibits Swiss Army knives in carry-on baggage. Therefore, we suggest you contact the TSA to address this issue. You may do so using this link:

According to the TSA, by using the above link, your concern will be emailed directly to the person in charge of TSA customer service at the airport for which you are commenting. And if you ask for a response, you will receive one.

San Diego International Airport Pssst... wanna know a secret? Want to know where you can park for FREE at the airport?

San Diego International Airport

San Diego International Airport
An infrastructure repair project on Harbor Drive near San Diego International Airport may cause some delays at times for those going to and from the airport, through the end of November 2009.

City of San Diego construction crews will be in the area of the intersection of Hawthorn Street and North Harbor Drive for the ne...xt six weeks, replacing a water main and feeder lines. As the project progresses, lane closures and cone patterns will change, depending on where the work is being conducted.

The primary impact of the project will be on those leaving the airport toward downtown. However, generalized slowing in the area may affect traffic in both directions. During the construction period, the Airport Authority advises those going to and from the airport to allow more time for their journey and to consider alternate routes during times of peak congestion. Alternate routes include using Laurel Street instead of Hawthorn and Grape Streets, or using Rosecrans Street and Nimitz Blvd. in Point Loma to reach and depart the airport.
