What is WACK?: WACK, or We Are Culture Krazy is a station committed to the promotion of local music, news and the culture of Trinidad and Tobago.

Why listen to WACK?: To become aware of the culture, local music and news in Trinidad and Tobago.

Listenership: Local listenership grew considerably, due to the upgrade of the transmitter. The main transmitter was moved from San Fernando Hill, and now sits at Lady Young Hill in the north. This services the whole island and listeners from Sangre Grande, Arima, Diego Martin, Mount Hope, Couva, Mayaro are now able to get better reception and join the WACK family. Internet listenership via the free live stream has more than tripled this year.  WACK TV, a subscription service,  was launched and initially tested during the Parang semi-final and finals and all kinks have been worked out.

Website: A newly designed website and the new WACK Store where promotional items are available to persons worldwide was done in October.

Awards: In September 2007, WACK was honoured with 'Favorite Online Soca Radio Station' and our crew went up to NY to receive the award. They also met with many of the WACK fans at our first Meet n Greet outside Trinidad. The WACK crew was able to experience a bit of Carnival in NY on the Parkway.  Later that month, WACK was also honoured by the Trinidad and Tobago Association, Hamilton-Wentworth for bringing culture to the world.  Mr. Desmond, host of Sunday's Culture Pot programme was there to accept award on behalf of WACK.

WACK Events: Wacky Tuesday, our first annual in house calypso competition, was held to a bumper crowd at The Village Plaza, Pleasantville.  Fans were treated to a classy show with contributions from the staff of a very high standard. Damion Melville, the Mighty Chicken Foot Souse emerged the overall winner; also stealing the People's Choice trophy.  David Mathews won the International Listeners Choice Award.

Wack's first annual Easter Bonnet Parade - a resounding success with kids portraying impressive and excellent portrayals. Our 'Wackiest Bonnet' segment also allowed the fans to show their support for the station with depictions of their favorite presenters and shows.

WACK Foundation: The Foundation was launched and will serve as a full-functioning unit in 2008. The foundation was set up raise funds and manage WACK's charitable and cultural projects. The foundation will receive its first set of funds from the sale of WACK'S first CD release, 'Thanks 90.1 Ways', which comprises of contributions from the staff and Los Wackanderos.

WACK TV: Another first, as WACK launched internet TV at the semi-finals and finals of the National Parang Festival.  Look for continued coverage during the Carnival period.

Charities: WACK continues to support the less fortunate in the community, by financial contributions to various groups. We continue to solicit support for those who've lost their homes. Non-charitable organizations received thousand of dollars worth of free advertising for their many causes. The international listeners also chipped in to send a barrel of items for the kids at the Mother's Union Home during the NY carnival period.  Additional fundraising was done during the Miami Carnival event towards Christmas gifts.

The Leonard Cheshire home is guaranteed the continued support from WACK, with all their fundraisers and WACK provides the entertainment for the home at their annual Christmas Party.

Bands: Two music bands emerged out of WACK this year:

90.1Degrees, a cover jazz band, that performs throughout the country at various events and functions
           
Los Wackanderos – a parang band which released its first Christmas hit, The Ultimate Locho.  Proceeds of the sale of this cd will benefit the Foundation
