Salvador Morales After seeing Ebony Opera's(Houston) highlights of "Porgy and Bess" Summer 2008, I have been on a mission to travel somewhere to see the full on production. Well, that has been accomplished by traveling to San Francisco last weekend(27June) to see "Porgy and Bess". Great production!!! Up next, "The Pearl Fishers".

Christina Bystrom Paycheck was short..hoping to come see Porgy in two weeks. I'm in Seattle and might have to sell my tickets. Fingers crossed, hoping to go...

San Francisco Opera Dear San Francisco Opera fans, San Francisco Opera's marketing department is looking for some friendly, able-bodied volunteers to assist with crowd control/directions at the Tosca simulcast on June 5, before the event. Please email khenning@sfopera.com if you might be able to help out!

If you're unable to attend the sold-out June 28th matinee of “La Traviata,” the San Francisco Opera extends another opportunity to explore this heartrending love story. Opera on the Couch is a free and exciting public dialogue produced by the San Francisco Opera and the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis (SFCP) and held at Books, Inc. This post-performance event is open to the public and will provide a lively analysis of director and designer Marta Domingo’s Bay Area debut by local psychoanalysts Linda Lagemann, Ph.D. and Steven Goldberg, M.D. Audience members will be encouraged to enter the discussion and express their opinions.
Join the dialogue at approximately 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 28, 2009, at Books, Inc., just steps away from the War Memorial Opera House (601 Van Ness Street in San Francisco).

:::LA BOHEME:::
Thank you for an Amazing Performance; a truly Enchanting experience. I had an opportunity to catch it twice this go around. Which included a Sunday invitation to a VIP celebration for a close friends Son, who was in the performance. What an eclectic group of artisans, I had an experience of a lifetime. Looking forward to many more events in the future.
