It's time to get back to the future. Our third installation takes you ther with DAEDELUS returning to SF in top form after a hugely successful tour earlier this year.... His high-energy and eclectic one-man live beat programing show and multiple releases on Ninja Tune, Mush, Plug Research and other labels has created quite a stir. This November, Stones Throw Records in collaboration with Dublab will be releasing the "Secondhand Sureshots" DVD which highlights Daedelus' live performances. JAMES PANTS enters stage left. The purveyor par-excellence of that unmistakable "Fresh Beat": 80's Soul, Electro Boogie, Early Rap, New Wave, & Post-Punk Disco, Pants has been rockin' His legendary DJ sets are truly "party-rocking", mashing up everything from Synth-Pop to Dirty South Crunk to New Wave Disco to Electro-Funk and back again. James' 2nd full length "Seven Seals" will be released in November of 2009 on Stones Throw Records. FREE THE ROBOTS is the genre-defying artist Chris Alfaro who pulls together heavy doses of traditional jazz, Psych, Electronic, Hip Hop, with progressive melodies and devastating drums into the future of sound. further is back with resident MATTHEW DEAR this time performing an all new live set as AUDION bringing with a brand new visual component to debut. You could throw around gener...ous descriptors and any number of genre-locking terms “electronic pop, minimal house, acid techno“ but you'd still fail to get to the center of Matthew Dear. With releases under no fewer than three aliases, including False (M_NUS), Jabberjaw (Perlon), and Audion (Spectral Sound), the Texas native has earned his international status over the course of a decade, getting his bearings on the DJ decks as a teenager to flooring sold-out crowds at venues like Fabric, and releasing universally praised original productions. He's undoubtedly helped define the new age of techno.

Couple that with Chilean techno diva DINKY (Wagon Repair), a Berlin-transplant who's delicate and funky minimalism will blow you away. Her musical kinship (and friendship) with Hawtin and compatriot Villalobos is evident in the latest effort for Matthew Jonson's imprint. In a decade of releases on labels from Cocoon and Traum to Carpark and Crosstown Rebels, Dinky continues to cement her place amongst techno's most enterprising producers.

BOYS NOIZE
POWER! Album Tour
+Sleazemore & Nisus
Mighty / 119 Utah St / SF / 21+ / $17.50 Ltd Advance
http://www.blasthaus.com

Boys Noize returns to SF celebrating the release of his second album, Power! The album has been keenly anticipated by a fan-base that follows his every move. Alongside p...eers Erol Alkan and Justice, Boys Noize (aka Alex Ridha) is part of a new mongrel breed of techno artist with a maverick bent and solid vision, beaming a myriad of influences from the past through a prism to create something fresh, new and exciting enough to send his audience loopy. Ridha, the founder of Boynoize Records (BNR) consistently pushes the envelope. Power is the much awaited follow-up record to his first, world renown album, Oi Oi Oi. With roots from techno, hip hop, disco, and electro, the new album encompasses elements of both rave and minimal but also the kind of inspired beats that would make hip hop producers drool. Plug in and get switched on, you won't want to miss this one!

blasthaus presents the return of THE VERY B...EST (Radioclit & Esau Mwamwaya) Live! -Ghettopop Records. These guys put out what Pitchfork called "just about the most listenable and flat-out enjoyable record of the year" (8.6 rating which is incredible). We couldn't agree more and the best news of all is they have a new record coming out in October to support which you can purchase for an additional $12 (Just pick up your CD at the merch booth at the show)

Born out of the love of hip hop's ethos to consistently push the boundaries forward by extrapolating what was unique about the past and what is radically refreshing about the future, Radioclit's Etienne Tron and Johan Karlberg have teamed up with Malawian songsmith Esau Mwamwaya to form The Very Best, an epic global partnership with the sole aim to re-write western pop rules in a language which is not English. It's the birth of a great partnership! Their recent release, Mixtape, has garnered rave reviews from across the planet, and their upcoming debut album will feature the likes of Vampire Weekend, M.I.A. and Marina Vellow (formerly of Brazilian three-piece Bonde do Role.) This will be another party to remember, so get ready!

+++ OPEN BAR for 1st Hour! +++

Breakthrough artist DROP THE LIME brings his DJ skills and vocals (yep, he sings like a bad boy Sinatra as he plays) and infectious energy to SF for this a...ll-out rager. His NYC party Trouble and Bass is defining a new sound in NYC which puts a new F in the word FUN. He's also somehow found the time to complete remixes for Moby, Blaqstarr, Rex the Dog among others, as well as writing songs with Diplo and Herve in between poses for many prominant music magazines and loads of new releases.

Couple that with Englishman TIM EXILE (live) who is well-known for his high-intensity improvised live sets, his precision adrenaline electronics and his earlier drum and bass and techno releases. His latest effort Listening Tree (Warp, 2009) is another masterfully produced effort leaning this time on vocals and intricate electronic instrumentals. DJ SLEAZEMORE
