Confused when you hear wine enthusiasts talk about cassis and cigar box while they sniff and swirl their wine? Discover how your “palate memory” can help you identify and appreciate wines. Savor the unique characteristics of wines like the kiwi fruit flavors of sauvignon blanc and the “plumness” of cabernet sauvignon. ...Taste the difference between a Fuji apple and a granny smith as they relate to chardonnay. To heighten your experience and hone your wine vocabulary, light snacks will be provided to accompany the wine tasting.

Leonardo is brought to life through acting, audience interaction, slides, and stories in this fascinating class which is part theatre and part lecture. Discover what made him tick and what made his painting revolutionary. Did you know he was the Steven Spielberg of the Renaissance? Would you believe he was a spy? What ...made him think like a modern scientist? Mystery surrounds Leonardo. Now, over 500 years later, the genius is free to tell some of his stories. Jim Wiltens has performed this highly acclaimed presentation in full costume and character at a number of venues to sold-out audiences. In his efforts to get into the mind of the master, Jim traveled to Italy in full da Vinci costume and immersed himself in the environment that shaped Leonardo. Bring pencils and a notebook.
