If insurance is sold across state lines, this would provide more competition, reduced rates, remove monopolies, and improved choices for all Americans without the government establishing a huge bureauracy to provide it's own insurance.

It is our health care and we are responsible for the decisions we make. Forcing someone into a govenrment plan because they are out of work or between jobs is not a sound solution to this issue. It will inevitably cost the tax payers more than predicted. Medicare was estimated to be a $65 Billion program. Today the deficit that it runs is greater than the original cost of the program.
The fact that you will not even entertain alternatives to a govenrment run systems shows me the closed mindedness and short sightedness of your decision making ability.
We deserve better representation than the party line, more government interference in our lives, more regulation and more TAXES.
