Santa Clara University -- Heafey Law Library Roofing Project Update #6: The project has one final step to go. The company did not finish applying the sealant last week when they worked on the roof a week early without notice. We are working with facilities to determine when the project can be completed with the least impact on the library. We hope to minimize... the odors impacting the library. Once the day and time has been selected, we will post notices...
Santa Clara University -- Heafey Law Library Students please be aware. Tomorrow workers will continue to apply sealant to the roof. This is the final step of the roofing project. The HVAC system will be off for the day, so the building may be warm, and their may be an odor.

Santa Clara University -- Heafey Law Library Roofing Project Update: The project is getting close to the end. About 90% of the details are complete. Some expansion joint work and wall coating remains to be completed. The cure cycle of 30 days started Friday August 21. So towards the end of September the final phase of installing the white coating and white aggr...egate will be done and should be completed within a few days.

Santa Clara University -- Heafey Law Library Roofing Project Update: When the first phase is complete (~mid-September) the truck will be removed and the fenced area will shrink to allow access to the sidewalk. The scaffolding will remain in place until the roof is sealed which will happen after a 30 day curing period once the first phase is complete.
Santa Clara University -- Heafey Law Library Roofing Project Update: The contractors are almost completely done with the tear off of the roof with just a relatively narrow strip along the northeast corner still to be removed. They should be completed with the tear off by the end of the week (possibly as early as today). They still have to do some corrective wo...rk on correcting the slope of the roof to improve drainage & prevent water pooling.
