Idaho State’s Sports Management Students will be putting on a 5k run to benefit the Bengal Foundation. The run, dubbed the Santa Claws Fun Run, will be held on December 5 at Reed Gym on the Idaho State campus.
The class was give...n the assignment to broaden student’s horizons of the inner workings of the field of sports management. All aspects of the race have been figured out by the students. To bring more meaning to what the students were doing, it was decided that all proceeds would go to the Bengal Foundation. Money raised through the Bengal Foundation is dedicated to scholarships for student-athletes. To make the event a little more unique, the students decided also to give out ORANGE SANTA HAT to the first 100 registered participants.
All ages are welcome to participate in the 5K and raffles, free samples from local businesses, and “lots of fun” will take place after the race. The event is set for December 5 on the East side of Reed Gym. The race will begin promptly at 9am. Registration on the day of the event begins at 7:30 a.m., but pre-registration is encouraged. Participants can register online at www.active.com. Registration is $20 before November 21 and $25 thereafter.
KIDS RACE FOR FREE!!! Thanks to Portneuf Medical Center, the first 50 KIDS (14 and Under) who show up to participate on the morning of the race will get FREE ENTRY to the fun run and a FREE T-SHIRT!!!
