A handful of school librarians across the country are opening packages from Lerner Publishing to find an enclosed book from Elaine Landau’s Best Dogs Ever (Lerner, 2010) series dedicated to them.
Sara Kelly Johns for ALA President Felled by H1N1...I am thankful that it seems to be a light case...just no energy...lots of coughing. But I learned a lot today about the ALA/APA Library Support Staff certification program from Michael Golrick who is part of the Louisiana State Library's pilot of the program. It will make a difference!

Sara Kelly Johns for ALA President I had a great time visiting the New Jersey Association of School Librarians (NJASL) conference last weekend, answering questions about ALA and learning a lot about the needs and accomplishments of libraries in New Jersey.
