Sara Moulton Here is a link to another story I did with The Daily Beast with regards to the film Julie & Julia. Once you see the movie, I'd love to hear your thoughts on Meryl Streep's authenticty in her role as Julia Child.

Julia Child’s former assistant and friend for a quarter-century, Food Network host Sara Moulton, watched Julie & Julia with a skeptical eye. Here are the five things the movie got right.

I watched Julia's show when it came on PBS occasionally when I was in high school. I loved her then, and the movie brought back such great memories. My daughters and I have bought the DVD's and have had great fun watching them, and in the process have learned a great deal!

My wife Sandy and I finally saw the movie Julie & Julia and we both thought Meryl Streep did a great job playing the part of Julia Child! Sometimes movie critics mention sex and violence. Sara Moulton Here is a link to an interview I conducted with The Daily Beast - it's regarding my experience as a female and chef in the food industry. How far we have come! But also how far we still have to go. It's certainly geramaine, as we countdown to the premiere of the film Julie & Julia. Julia Child paved the way for many chefs, both male and female. I am seeing it for the first time tonight!

Julia Child redefined the kitchen, and being a woman in it. Her assistant, Sara Moulton, has carried on the legacy, from Gourmet’s test kitchen to the Food Network’s Sara’s Secrets, some of which she shares with Hungry Beast.

Yesterday I went to Isaac Mizrahi's design studio to tape two webisodes for his website. We made grilled Southwestern pizza using my 6 minute pizza dough and fruit potstickers. Issac as usual was so much fun to cook with (he is surprisingly knowledgable) and devoured the finished dishes, especially the pizza (even thou...gh we are both on Weight Watchers) The webisodes will be airing sometime in August or September.Read More
