I would like to welcome you to the FREEdom from MEdom Project Facebook page. Feel free to comment on your discoveries concerning living a life of recovery from "my addiction to me" or what Jesus refers to as slavery to sin (John 8:34), which is MEdom. I hope you will take the time to visit FREEdom from MEdom Project where you will find information on addictions, and my dozens of blogs pertaining t
...o the addiction we all have, MEdom. There is no exception according to Scripture. There are visual illustrations and media throughout.
FREEdom from MEdom Project (FFMP) strives to make sense of the scientific realities of human thinking and behavior. I have made it my purpose to identify the cognitive-behavioral truth in Scripture and how it is mirrored by the clinical work of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and its predecessor rational-emotive-behavioral therapy (REBT). The lies that capture one's heart leads to thoughts that promote and feed into irrational beliefs creating feelings that drive irrational behavior. What is meant by irrational is that the beliefs and behavior appear sensible but in reality are harmful and costly.
FFMP offers opportunities for interactive participation through recovery lessons (TWIRL) and application challenges (TWRAC) that are meant to take you deep into the matters of the heart, asking the tough questions deliberately moving you out of your comfort zone to a place that will challenge you for real to deal with stuff. The goal is transformative change for a new life experience. I hope you will click on the link provided to see what's what.
