Michele Jackson Taylor

Michele Jackson Taylor Hi. I earned a Master's in Social Policy in 1997. The option of earning a degree long distance was just what I needed. There's never a hesitation to recommend SUNY Empire for adults wanting to go back to school. It was a great experience, and I appreciate all of my instructors...especially Dean Wells.

Marisol Bennett Being able to take online classes was the best for me. I was able to do my work anytime anyday and it felt so good. I personally feel that it was easier for me than being in a mainstream classroom. I love ESC and I recommend it to anyone, ANY age! I'm happy to be graduating this summer, I finally did it! Thanks ESC!

Alison Gilbert

Alison Gilbert I loved attending and getting my degree from ESC. I felt like the school was designed just for me. I had one year of credit to go, three years of transfer credit accepted in my major, BA with a Concentration in Design. I was able to take all electives and had a great time exploring a totally different avenue, holistic ...health. It also took me into my forties to graduate but between a Scholarship and Pell Grants, I did not have to pay a cent, except for books. I can not say enough about the program. I graduated in 1992 and am still proud to say so.

Grace Gotflavor Walls-Matijasic Is there anyone who can give me some info and reviews before I request info from the college? I've been tormented with other online colleges blowing my phone up so I joined this page to see if I could get some feedback.

Denise Ortiz

Denise Ortiz I enrolled into ESC in Nov 09 as an undergraduate, I am taking the online courses and good lord I have been overwheled with work. I enrolled myself into three classes and it has been an over whelming few months. I thought it would be different or a bit easier takin courses online but I have to disagree it would be muc...h better to sit in a classroom. Thier professors are great. The subjects are interesting I just can not take more than two courses again. I have a busy life and this only made it more busy..:)

I agree, as an adult with children and other responsibilities... two courses is the max for me... I have also found the classes that meet with the professor are easier to manage than the strictly online courses, which seem to include more coursework and more time management... But knowing these things, it can be made to work. I know a lot of ESC successful graduates. The great thing about ESC is that you can always find support and the programs are almost always flexible....

I have been a undergraduate student since 2007. Although it has been hard sometimes, I think you may want to try independent study next time and maybe only take two classes instead of three.I love independent study because it is not every week that I have to meet with my professor.

I max-out at two classes as well, and even then sometimes it's a lot of work (depending on what courses I'm taking. I've found that many of the instructors are flexible with due dates when asked reasonably ahead of time. I'm just glad I can "attend" class without having to find a babysitter.
