Sarojini Sahoo In one of my recently published interviews in Muse India, I stated that I differed from Simon de Beauvoir in her 'Other' theory where she says “one is not born but rather, becomes a woman.” I further stated that I think a woman is born as a woman. Such a statement by me surprised some of my scholar friends in that how ...could I state this when it is known to me that according to social anthropology, gender is more a societal than a biological phenomenon. I have posted my new blogging “Being Feminine: A Matter of Socialisation or Biology?” at SENSE & SENSUALITY to clarify my stand. Your comments and suggestions will make me applauded and guided.

Pooja I find that emotionality is the main root cause of all sufferings of a woman in the world as her emotions make her weaker in every sphere of life, specially in her personal life...she is dominated because she couldn't lift up above her emotionality ....she doesn't possess a bold and sturdy heart in order to manage her... emotional life independently...she remains very dependent on her male-counterpart for her happiness. She forgives and forgets everything just because of this reason that she is woman and therefore she is supposed to remain calm everytime submissively....she can't raise her voice against wrongdoings of her family members because this can be take as natural on their part but unnatural in her part if she raises her voice rather than put across her points in front of them...

Sarojini Sahoo New is the year, new are the hopes and the aspirations, new is the resolution, new are the spirits and forever my warm wishes are for you. Have a promising and fulfilling new year.

Cp Aboobacker I beg to express that my understanding of feminism is based on Fourier's views. I don't think that feminism does not require an attempt to make man and woman equal in all possible ways. Feminism is the venture to attain for women her right to live as a respectable woman as man leads his life as a respectable man. Gende...r equality is a natural right. Gender equality is not sex equality. Both have to be explained separately. But it is ugly in civilized society that woman becomes a good while man stands always a buyer. However, the Ruchi Case has proved that we Indians are primitives in the attire of civilization.

One of my novels The Dark Abode, which received some controversy in India now published again with second edition and the publisher has posted it at SCRIBD, a website, from which any one can download this novel at free of cost. This novel is on the relationship of an Indian house wife and a Pakistani painter. But the no...vel does not confined with such a relationship. It widens its landscape to religions, societies and countries. The Hindu fundamentalists rose their voice against this novel. But when it was translated in to Bengali and published from Bangladesh under the title "Mithya Gerosthali" ISBN No :984 404 287-9) ,despite of its conservative nature, the book received a wide response through out the countries. It has been translated in to Malayalam and English. The first edition was exhausted within a year. The English version is a collage presentation of my novel with American poet painter Ed Backer's sketches 'The Uma".However, if possible, please read this novel from http://www.scribd.com/doc/13579559/The-D ark-Abode I hope to know your reader's/critics opinion on that novel

Sarojini Sahoo NDTV Imagine’s new reality show, “Raaz Pichhle Janam Ka” has been going on the air from 7 December 2009 at 9:30 p.m. and as a daily prime timeslot from Monday to Thursday. ‘NDTV Imagine’, the TV Channel, may use this therapy in a reality show to increase its TRP, but I have some doubts about the truthfulness of this... method.
