WTOC-TV From Patrick Prokop Hurricane "Ida" now has 100 mph winds. It looks as if it will make landfall around Mobile, AL around sunrise Tuesday with 85 mph winds and then turn east as it decays. We will most likely get some good rains from this Monday night through Wednesday morning but I am not expecting any strong winds.

WTOC-TV From Patrick Prokop ... SPACE STATION ... A GREAT view of the International Space Station will occur this evening and will be VERY BRIGHT. It will appear in the WSW at 6:12 pm, rise high in the NW sky by 6:15 and then fade out in the NE at 6:17 pm. It will be brighter than the last couple of nights where some viewers thought they could actually see the solar panel arrays on it. Happy Viewing.

From Patrick Prokop ... Tropical System "Ida" is moving out of Honduras back into the warm waters of the NW Caribbean Sea moving northward. It appears that the storm will strengthen to a weak tropical storms then will morph into a sub-tropical to non-tropical storm in the Gulf of Mexico. Right now, military officials say the suspected shooter who killed 13 people and wounded 30 more on Fort Hood is in a coma on a ventilator in the hospital but is expected to live. The violence was believed to be the worst mass shooting in history at a US military base.
