C'mon everyone. I wrote 5 letters and will write any amount to keep baseball here. The $^*# University is just a big leech on this city. The least they can do is just give us a decent lease so we can start moving on this. Write/e-mail them and if we make enough noise, maybe they'll hear us.

Save the Lake Monsters and Keep professional baseball in Vermont Word has it that the UVM Board of Trustees is meeting soon. We have to make sure that the Centennial Field question is on their agenda. If they will not give us some sort of commitment (ie a Memorandum of understanding) to give us more than a five year lease, we cannot begin fund raising. Please send the trustees and... President Fogel letters asking them to do this! (addresses are in the discussion boards)

It's still a reality that Major League Baseball could come in at anytime and shut down Centennial Field. But fans are trying to keep that from ever happening, by starting two petitions to save the field.

How do I sign the petitions? I live in Peoria, IL and came to see a game this summer. It was funny to duck under the beams at the entrance!
