The Lalumanu relief account is now closed, thank you so much to those of you who donated, we managed to raise over $5500 which will go a long way in a place where now a little means a whole lot!

Scary washing machine.
Scary Washing Machine has come back to life, this time he needs your help to raise more money for the Lalumanu community in Samoa who were badly hit by the Tsunami.
I myself was in Samoa in Lalumanu when the Tsumani came in and I saw the horror, carnage and shocking tragedy that it inflicted on so many people first hand....
Believe it or not this was the honeymoon that the Scary Washing Machine proceeds helped to pay for!!! I might have sold him but he's still trying to get me!!
There were no inter-dimensional portals or dinosaurs this time but I think we got a pretty good look at the REAL scary washing machine and I can tell you it's a lot more scary than a dinosaur!
My wife and I both survived by the seat of our pants but many other people were not as fortunate and many of them lost their lives and loved ones to the sea.
The Taufua family from Lalumanu have over 20 extended family members either dead or unaccounted for and we want to help them out by raising money to help them get back on their feet and get through this horrible tragedy.
They have virtually nothing left, the whole of the Lalumanu beach community is destroyed and turned to rubble and I was there while the family members retrieved their loved one's bodies from the piles of rubble that were once their homes.
I have opened a bank account and will take donations for the next 14 days, Tina De Suza a close friend of the family has gone to Samoa to be with them and help rebuild and she will pass any money we can raise on directly to the family in person so you can be assured that every last cent of your money will reach where it's needed.
She is listed on the Taufua Beach Fales website as the official aid person in NZ for the family.
These people deserve all the help they can get, the are a beautiful family and always treat visitors and travelers with a warmth as if they are part of the family.
If you can spare any money at all, even 5 bucks, please dip into your pockets to help the family.

Scary washing machine.
Scary will be at the Albany 100% electric store this weekend. If you get a pic taken with it and then post the pic to the 100% Scary page you can win a new iron.
p.s If you do win. Is it sweet if I borrow it every now and then? My shirts are in a frightful state and using the hot frying pan instead of an iron certainly has it's limitations. Especially around the collar areas.

T-shirts are useful for protection against the suns harmful rays. I know a man called Ray, he's not harmful though, he has a beard and is quite a proficient fisherman.

Scary washing machine. started it's nationwide tour today, first stop .....Waiuku!, hell yes, straight to paradise. Everything in Waiuku is made of awesome, they were actually originally going to call the town 'Awesome' but there was a disagreement with the local Iwi so they went with Waiuku instead.
