A little while ago, I visited my grandparent's farm in Germany. While in their sitting room, I saw the most intricate little papercut and thought I would love to try that. So I did. I love creating silhouettes out of paper! Commissions welcome!

Lisa Snider I didn't know people knew what scherenschnitte was any more. I have 3 pieces from 1854 made by my great grandmother that I thought were worthless except for sentimental value, since then I have found out differently. I also have this weird little tool I was told was used to make them but now I am told no. Will be glad to share photos if you are interested.
