Scherenschnitte: Cindy Ferguson
A little while ago, I visited my grandparent's farm in Germany. While in their sitting room, I saw the most intricate little papercut and thought I would love to try that. So I did. I love creating silhouettes out of paper! Commissions welcome!

Caitlin I too found your website while Googling. I have recently taken an interest from papercutting from all lands, especially Polish wycinanki. But Scherenschnitte is epecially whimsical because it depicts actualy scenes. I hope I can do it someday. I will definitely check out your blog! (:

Ron Kelly

Ron Kelly Cindy- I just found your site, Googling of course. I just started Scherenschnitte and think it's gorgeous, beautiful. I've only made 3 things so far. Started right out with Intermediate; glutton for punishment. :-) Hope to find some of your patterns and give them a whirl. Keep up the good work. Ron K.

Kelly You have inspired me. My Christmas tree is adorned with many of your templates! When you look at the tree the papercuts illustrate imaginative, whimsical stories. The kids love it! Thanks and Merry Christmas!!

I belong to GAP. Their "collection" or conference in Asilomar, CA in '04 was one of the funnest conferences I have attended...and I get to some fun conferences! I find that their quarterly journal "First Cut" is rather stodgy and dull, but I do enjoy seeing that there are others out there that enjoy the art as I do. You have a great blog!

Linda Hi Cindy. I am from Australia and started cutting when I read about it in a book, "Memory Keepers Daughter", a few months ago. Thank you for offering such great templates. When will you start your Christmas ones???
