In a land far, far away... ...well, in Bentonville AR, a man decided to impact his local community through a skate outreach; we like to call him "the boss". Based out of a local store called Skia, he assembled a team to visit local skate parks every month to give out food, decks, clothing, and one important message. ... One day "the boss" decided to step it up a notch, and went on a road trip across the US with his skate/bmx team. Over the next 10 days, the team stormed over 20 skate parks, logged thousands of miles, gave out thousands of drinks, hundreds of shirts, and shared one important message: Die to Self, Live for Christ. (Romans 6:11) Over 41 kids decided they were done living for themselves and wanted to live for Christ! You see, we live in a culture where everything is about "self"; a culture that puts a high value on feeling good. They say, "Do whatever you want because you are numero uno". It's a culture where no matter what you have, it's never good enough. We think it's time for a change! So in January 2009, Self Destruct was concieved as a brand to create an even bigger platform for this important message. At Self Destruct we're committed to influencing the skate and action sports culture through our tours and local skate events. We are committed to providing artistic and relevent designs that communicate our message. We are also committed to providing high quality product with competitive prices. Most importantly, however, we are committed to drawing a line in the sand and standing up for the saving Truth found only in Jesus Christ. What will you believe?
