A recent article that might be helpful to link to is one found a few months ago in Parents or Parenting (sorry, can't remember) about how woefully unprepared most local hospitals are for little patients. I vividly remember reading it and thinking to myself, "Thank GOD Childrens hospital is in Seattle." They automatic...ally provided me with three squares a day for free when my breastfed two week old was hospitalized. They knew exactly how to hold and talk to my terrified two-year-old still and distract him when he needed stitches in his face. They completely understand and are prepared for kids and parents, and no other hospital in this area can say that.Read More

Brenda I. Catlett I hope our Seattle City Council will approve the Children's Hosptial Expansion Plans. We need to keep Children's Hospital in Seattle.

Have any of the Seattle City Council candidates (or incumbents) spoken about their views regarding the Hospital's expansion plans? I'm going to be filling out my ballot this weekend, as I'm sure are many others, and would like to ensure that my vote supports the Hospital if possible. Also, please post info on where p...eople can get yard signs - great idea, especially for those of us who live in Laurelhurst!Read More
