UW World Series Zimbabwean singer-songerwriter and mbira player Chiwoniso brings her unique blend of world music, jazz, hip-hop, reggae and R&B styles to the Meany Stage for one night only. Her 2008 CD Rebel Woman has high earned praise from both critics and world music fans. Come and hear for yourself exactly why.

UW World Series Formed in 1999, this young trio was originally mentored and presented at Carnegie Hall by none other than Issac Stern himself. Since then they have toured widely to enthusiastic response. Their UW World Series program includes works by Shostakovich, Beethoven, and Chopin.
