University of Washington School of Drama I'm singing in the rain... I think I need to make a Seattle-inspired mix tape, know any other good "rain" songs?

Thu at 1:38pm
Nancy Lee
Nancy Lee
"Early Morning Rain" by Gordon Lightfoot. And my friend Terry Healey came up with: "Soon It's Gonna Rain" (from The Fantasticks); "The Rain In Spain" (from My Fair Lady); "(Ah, ha, oh, no!) Don't Let the Rain Come Down"; "Raining In My Heart" (Buddy Holly); "Inch by Inch, Row by Row" (John Sebastian, with the recurring line, "and the rain a-tumblin' down").

"Kentucky Rain" by Elvis. I left Seattle with 'the rain in my shoes.' A classic song and one of my favorites.

The Tempest by William Shakespeare

Directed by M. Burke Walker

GRAND RE-OPENING of the Jones Playhouse

Shakespeare’s final play is a wonder of invention, an exuberant celebration of theatrical art and artifice: a tempest, a shipwreck, castaways, lost children, music, first love, revenge, drunken clowns, murder plots, magi...c, monsters, spirits, and three Roman gods! The Tempest and its enchanted island are a middle world where society is turned upside down and the future placed in the hands of two young lovers.

No late seating for School of Drama events.

Tickets on sale September 1, 2009.
