10:30am - Screening of "Kung Fu Panda"
DreamWorks' "Kung Fu Panda" stars Po, a lazy and irreverent panda who is a fan of Kung Fu but doesn’t help his boredom at working in his family’s noodle shop. Unexpectedly chosen to fulfill an ancient prophecy, Po’s dreams become reality when he comes under the leadership of Kung F......u guru Shifu and trains to hilarious results. Po must use his training to fight the treacherous snow leopard Tai Lung in this animated adventure. (PG, 92 minutes, 2008.)
2:00pm - Screening of "Origin: Spirits of the Past"
"Origins: Spirits of the Past" begins 300 years in the future after the Earth has been devastated by mankind and now are under attack from the sentient forests they have awaken. The balance of this world is tipped when a young boy stumbles across a machine that glows in a forbidden sanctuary. The machine, encases a girl from the past, who continues her destructive stance on the planet once awakened. This film brings a colorful mixture of science fiction and being “green” friendly. Suitable for 13 year olds and up. (NR, 90 minutes, 2006.)

"Camp Harmony: Seattle's Japanese Americans and Puyallup Assembly Center" explores the daily lives of the more than seven thousand Japanese American inmates at Camp Harmony, detailing how they worked, played, ate, and occasionally fought with each other and with their captors.
"Camp Harmony" is by author Louis Fiset (I......mprisoned Apart: The World War II Correspondence of an Issei Couple; co-editor of Nikkei in the Pacific Northwest), and contains an introduction by historian Roger Daniels. The event is co-sponsored with Densho. The book is available for purchase at the Museum Marketplace.
