Second Chance Ranch (Elma, WA) A TB filly by Matricule, whose full sister is the multiple stakes winner Screaminleapofaith, was left at the feed lot last week. She was headed to slaughter. I contacted her breeder, previous owners/ trainers- all stepped up and bailed her out into a short term foster home. She needs long term foster/ owner. She's thin, minor tendon injury and will be sound.
Second Chance Ranch (Elma, WA) 10:30pm call from a woman in Aberdeen needing a blanket for a 30+yo gelding who had been standing naked in the recent rains day and night. I took 3 blankets to her property an hour away, where we ushered him and two others into a small barn and fitted them with the blankets. The elderly gelding was a perfect gentleman during the fitting and very appreciative. It was the most rewarding evening I've had in awhile!
Second Chance Ranch (Elma, WA) assisted in saving 9 TBs from a kill buyer at the Enumclaw auction on October 4th. Tattoos on the equines helped identify them and their previous owners/trainers who rescued 5 of them. Your donations let us bail out the last 4 and place them in foster homes.
