how funny, and I only have 2 cats and an Australian Sheppard. My carpet gets replaced by the end of the week.

Well, I don't have 10 dogs, but one of my 3 is a Husky/Lab mix, and she sheds ALL the time! Sweeping is a daily task at my house!

Only allowed cats in my apartment, but I know the fur slipper routine. I love hardwood floors. They're actually easier to care for and frankly, a heck of a lot more sanitary, who knows what you track into your home from outside!
