Kathleen Chapman Wilson has a question about the proposed extension of the present home tax credit for those of us purchasing another home, meeting the five year requirement in our present home, the income cap, and the purchase price cap. Can we keep our present home as a rental while the new home becomes our primary residence, or do we have to sell to qualify for the $6500 tax credit?
