Jeff Morris

Jeff Morris Senator Crapo - please explain how the cost of Medicare Part D that you supported in 2003 cost more for American taxpayers per person covered than a comprehensive Health Care Reform bill for all Americans? Here are some comparisons between the two plans. The 2003 Medicare Part D Reform increased the deficit over the f...irst 10 years by $395 billion; cost $600 billion from 2010-2019; and was 1,044 pages long. The current Senate Health Reform Bill decreases the deficit over the first 10 years by $130 billion; cost $848 billion from 2010-2019; and is 2,074 pages long. All of our Seniors have access to Medicare, only 1 in 4 can afford to pay for the federally subsidized Medicare Part D. Medicare Part D enrollees are generally the more affluent Medicare enrollees. Senator Crapo - please explain. I appreciate your help understanding the logic of subsidizing the few at the expense of the many who need fundamental health care insurance.

John Hansford

John Hansford I am amazed that the Federal Government does not have laws against banks raising their interest rates on credit cards to usurious levels. Citibank just raised mine from 12% to 24% with firm promises of future increases. Who is overseeing these institutions? What do they plan on doing with these massive windfall profits? Best be pay the taxpayer back.

John Hansford

John Hansford When are banks scheduled to pay back TARP monies? They sure aren't giving much out in loans to small business. I can't even get a property refinanced that Wells Fargo financed for me 3 years ago, even though it appraises out more than the original value! When is government and his majesty Obama going to follow through ...on promises to curb the greed of banks and bankers? If they are turning profits, shouldn't they be mandated to pay back our money BEFORE paying themselves exorbitant pay?
