The Taysha reading list is for recreational reading and the committee seeks a balance of books in areas such as genre, subject, gender appeal, interest, and difficulty. With recreational reading you are trying to look at what appeals to teens or what topics are they interested in not necessarily the issues or struggles they are facing. Furthermore... Read More, Texas is a large melting pot of cultures and I would think it would be very hard each year to balance the list to cover every culture in the state. As far as TLA visit the website – www.txla.org do not judge the organization by one suggested reading list see the various round tables and committees available – Library Services to the Spanish Speaking Round Table, or the Children’s Round Table -- Día de los niños / Día de los libros Committee for example.

You're welcome. I'm looking forward to reading your book. Speaking of the word "truth" -- At this time, I'm reading "The Four Agreements - A Toltec Wisdom Book" by Don Miguel Ruiz. It was one of those little treasures that called my name in the bookstore. Delicious!
