Serial Drama

Serial Drama is written by Mallory Harlen and Becca Thomas, two friends who several years back discovered a shared history of soap-watching and -mocking (along with an intense attraction to Joshua Jackson, a similarly intense revulsion by Russell Crowe, a fondness for teen movies, and disturbingly large shoe and handbag collections). We decided to start a little blog, which shockingly a few people started to read, and ultimately Soap Opera Digest offered us a monthly column. So now we are semi-professional soap-watchers and -mockers. (It's one of those things that makes less sense every time you repeat it.)

Anyway, that's who we are. Which you probably knew, because you're here, and it's not like people have so much time on their hands that they randomly search Facebook for soap opera blogs to read up on. Unless of course that's what you did, in which case please read a much less noticeable level of judgment into the prior sentence. (read less)

Trying to figure out who fathered our children, living in mansions, entering into marriages of convenience with mobsters, being brainwashed, attending elaborate formal events, kidnapping the children of our enemies, coming back from the dead, having the same conversation for 27 consecutive weeks, running our cosmetics company, getting through med school in two months, sleeping with men who've slept with our mothers, surviving plane crashes, paying off people who have incriminating information about us, wearing cocktail dresses year round, having butlers, getting terminal diseases that disappear shortly thereafter without causing any unattractive physical symptoms, having affairs, covering up murders, getting into catfights, flying in private jets, talking to people with our backs turned to them, getting married too young, wearing makeup while in comas, having romantic adventures on deserted islands, stealing babies, and being bitchy.
