Clarice Mackey I work as a social worker at The Salvation Army and heard about Sewing for Babies years ago from a co-worker. Have you done or thought about making cloth diapers? We service many mom's in need that would be willing to do cloth diapers to get them through when they can't afford disposables. It seems to be the "in" th...ing these days for those interested in going "green".

no one has brought up the subject of making cloth diapers for groups, we did make some for a friend of a friend in Africa as a special project. I can bring it up as a project as the ladies seem to like to do special projects. Do you know if they want flat or prefolded diapers? Maybe the Salvation Army could hold a diaper making class. Diane Keller I am interested in finding out more about your organization and how I might be of use as a volunteer with the organization. I helped occassionally when Jeannie Sanchez worked with Sewing for Babies in Lincoln and Beatrice. I live out of the city so am wondering if the beatrice group is still meeting and the schedules... so I can see if I can make something work. I have donated LOTS of fabric in the past and still have more that needs to be used instead of on my shelf.
