I hate that holiday. I find it particularly ghoulish and, as you said, Sheila, depressing. I first became aware of it while studying the Spanish language. The specific celebration was in Mexico, but I'm sure that it is similar to what you witnessed in Spain. Isn't it interesting how we choose to celebrate different things around the world?

Sandra with all due respect, hate is truly a strong word to use. Please choose your words wisely. Dia de Los Muertos is a truly special holiday for respect and gratitude of loved ones who have passed a mass is part of this tradition. In Latin America and other parts of the world is to remind us of our loved ones not like in the states we bury our loved ones and no one visits their gravesite.

Dear Sandra and Darby, you are both right. The fact that I couldn't get to visit my dad's grave on the day when everyone else was visiting theirs, was exactly what made me so very sad. And, as you say, it is a most highly respected holiday. It also serves to show us all just how differently various cultures celebrate their own holidays. Also, I believe that the lesson to be learned here, is that we should all be tolerant of each other's races, cultures and creeds.

Vincent, nothing at all wrong with fruits and salads, as well as salt-free nuts and litres & litres of water. It's my way to detox, which is what I do when in training or in the normal world rehearsing my script and preparing to go on stage. Thanks for caring.:-) x
