Shepherds Grove
Shepherds Grove Working on a crazy Maiolica German Shepherd gargoyle and wishing it were real - I can't even blame toxic fumes for that statement as I'm only sketching with pencil now. I'm transferring my idea onto the bisque jar, which has already been coated with a satin white glaze. I'll go over my design with colored glaze as so...on as I figure out what colors to use - so many choices. More later. Have a great day.
Shepherds Grove Here's a look at the finished trophy pieces. I think they turned out pretty good.
Shepherds Grove has just re-painted the Skye Terrier per the clients comments - less neck hair and taller neck. I used the picture of his dog and am happier with how it turned out. I will transfer it onto the plate using a different color sharpie so I wont confuse it with the other dog that I already transferred on the plate.
Shepherds Grove is working on an order for Skye Terrier dishes to be given as trophies at a dog show. The pictures show stages of my work. At this point I've painted the plate rim with the pattern I intend to use and transferred the terrier from paper to the center with yellow sharpie. I've drawn out my pattern in the small bowl wi...th pencil and transferred the dog to it and painted some sample dogs for the client to choose from.
Shepherds Grove will be a small part of the Susan G Komen Cancer Walk in Seattle. It is a 60 mile walk that raises money for breast cancer research. I was invited by Traci, an artist who will walk the walk. She must raise $2,100 to participate. Her team is running an art auction to raise $ and I am donating some work to help them o...ut. Shepherds Grove Today I'll be painting and firing off some silver clay trying to get ready for next weekend's craft fair in Fortuna. I'm working on a cool little vase for my friend featuring her Smooth Fox Terrier - I'm very excited to see how it turns out.
