Kala Ramnath's violin playing is characterized by an immaculate bowing and fingering technique. Her innate artistry and technical brilliance combined with a rare and exquisite emotional quality are the hallmarks of her style. She has completely revolutionized the technique of playing the violin by taking the instrument so close to vocal music that today her violin is called "The Singing Violin".

Ty Burhoe has been a disciple of the great tabla maestro, Ustad Zakir Hussain, since 1990. From that time forward, Ty has been wholly dedicated to music as a career and as a spiritual path. Through his teacher's inspiration, he has established new territory for the tabla which continues to attract international acclaim. Ty is known for his sensitive accompaniment and melodious style. While his study of the classical tradition and his touring as a classical accompanist continue to grow, he is also internationally recognized for being instrumental in creating unusual collaborations that weave tabla with other various world traditions.
Ty works with a broad range of artists including Ustad Zakir Hussain, Krishna Das, Bela Fleck, Walter Becker, Steve Gorn, Mamadou Diabate, Rick Alan, Kitaro, and many more. Ty also teaches “sound” workshops and tabla intensives throughout the world.
